Im Back!

Been slacking lately, no excuse really, other than immense laziness.
With that said, here are some pictures of Harper and Zachary (cousins). If you notice the order of things, everyone is all happy, Harper steals Zach's toy, lots of tears, Harper holds a grudge. Yup sounds like family!

First Ever Quilt!

So my darling friend / neighbor, Renee, is a fantastic quilter. I mean this girl could quilt circles around any old lady. That being said, I tricked her into helping me with my first ever quilt project. Being someone who was raised on a farm in the heart of wisconsin, Renee has a very tradition and lovely taste. She thinks my project looks "ethnic" :) I love her!

Estate Sale PART DUO

OKAY. So, more pics. The small business that organizes these sales has a site that can be found here. Super nice people.

It is still weird to me that people spend a lifetime accumulating things, only to lose them all anyways. I'm completely guilty. I have so many things that I absolutely don't need, and yet I keep bringing in new things. Sigh. But I really do enjoy collecting things that were purchased and adored by someone in another lifetime. There is something so precious about it.

The dishes are truly remarkable. Made in the 60s or 70s and the design is still totally relevant today. The tiny painting of the tree caught my eye, but what I found on the back broke my heart. Something about the woman hiding against the wall all these years really broke me. Truly innocent and beautiful.

Estate Sale Treasure! PART ONE

Oh Man. My parents are in the process of maybe / hopefully buying this retro 60's ranch in DTC. The man who ORIGINALLY built the house has moved into a retirement community, and is selling some of his things. I totally got the hook up and got to peruse though the estate sale items before the sale actually happened! Look at these gems!
