Novella Iron Ons!

A little birthday gift for my little friend Morgan, who turns 3 this week. I drew the graphic in photoshop, and used an iron on transfer to turn it into a custom shirt! I will be offering a full line of Novella iron on transfers soon on Etsy.com, so keep watching the blog for an official announcement!

What an incredible couple and great friends! Erin and Dan get married this weekend, and Shaul and I are blessed to see these two people tie the knot! And seriously, could they be any better looking? Their future kids hit the genetic jackpot!

Succulent this!

I could not resist these succulents when we were shopping at Sunflower Market yesterday, they are such a combination of beautiful and silly. Best combination there is! Don't they seem jurassic? I don't know ... dinosaury or something. :)

Succulents are a great option for indoor growing. Very easy to care for, as they dont like direct sunlight and only occasional watering. Succulents store water in their leaves (think aloe vera), which can give the leaves a swollen look, which is the reason people call them "fat plants." Personally, I don't think its nice to call them fat, so we will stick with succulent. :) Here's another tasty fact ... nearly all cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti. Very confucius!

I used my trifle dish, because lets be real, I have used it maybe twice in three years. I layered about 4 inches of river rock in the bottom to allow for some drainage, and used cactus soil rather than normal potting soil. I guess its a little more acidic, which cactus like. Yay succulents!

Im Back!

Been slacking lately, no excuse really, other than immense laziness.
With that said, here are some pictures of Harper and Zachary (cousins). If you notice the order of things, everyone is all happy, Harper steals Zach's toy, lots of tears, Harper holds a grudge. Yup sounds like family!

First Ever Quilt!

So my darling friend / neighbor, Renee, is a fantastic quilter. I mean this girl could quilt circles around any old lady. That being said, I tricked her into helping me with my first ever quilt project. Being someone who was raised on a farm in the heart of wisconsin, Renee has a very tradition and lovely taste. She thinks my project looks "ethnic" :) I love her!
